#Voiceless4AnimalJustice 2019 Raises Over $26,000 for Animal Protection

Thanks to our incredible supporters, #Voiceless4AnimalJustice 2019 was a huge success for animals!

From October 16 to November 9, over 70 participants fundraised to support the lawyers at Animal Justice and to ensure we can continue to help overhaul Canada’s legal and political systems to give animals the legal protection they need.

During the campaign, supporters used social media to share facts about how abysmal Canada’s animal protections laws still are in 2019, and why we need drastic legal change for animals in this country. On the final day, November 9, #Voiceless4AnimalJustice participants took part in a powerful day of action for animals—a 24-hour vow of silence to raise awareness for the animals who are silenced by industries, and by our legal and political systems.

On this day, our supporters took to social media, posting a selfie with their hand over their mouth, with a red ‘X’ on their hand, and explained to their friends and loved ones why they were going voiceless for animals for an entire day.

We’re incredibly thankful for our participants, and to all of our amazing supporters who made gifts and helped us exceed our fundraising goal for animals.

With our passion, dedication, and the love and support from our community, we look forward to shaping a brighter future for animals in Canada!
