The Animals’ Charity (TAC) and the U of T Urban Agriculture Society present an educational workshop and film screening on the impacts of industrial agriculture on human and non-human animals.
We will be screening the documentary film Food Inc. An educational workshop and discussion will follow the screening.
Food Inc. lifts the veil on our nation’s food industry, exposing the highly mechanized underbelly that has been hidden from the consumer with the consent of our government’s regulatory agencies. Our nation’s food supply is now controlled by a handful of corporations that often put profit ahead of consumer and animal health, the livelihood of the farmer, the safety of workers and our own environment.
This event is free and open to the public.
