Meat Inspection Act, RSC 1985, c 25 (1st Supp)

The Meat Inspection Act is legislation respecting the import and export of and interprovincial trade in meat products, the registration of establishments (slaughter houses, abattoirs, etc), the inspection of animals and meat products in registered establishments and the standards for those establishments and for animals slaughtered and meat products prepared in those establishments. The Act also creates of summary and indictable offences for contravention of certain sections of the Act.
