R v Zeller, 1998 ABPC 19

Sentencing hearing following a guilty plea for wilfully damaging property and for the unlawful killing of a dog. During a domestic dispute with his wife, the accused threw a sewing machine off of their balcony and destroyed it. Following this incident, the accused took a shovel and killed the couple’s Dalmatian puppy.

The Accused was sentenced to 60 days imprisonment to be served intermittently, followed by two years probation. .
