R v Lukasik, [2006] MJ No 179 (Man Ct J)

This is the sentencing hearing for the accused Cheryl Ann Lukasik. The accused was convicted of four counts of providing inadequate medical attention to dogs that were in her care. In addition, she was convicted of providing inadequate food and water to the dogs in her care.

Lukasik was fined $9,000 and victim fine surcharge of $1,950 for the animal offences. Lukasik was also given a prohibition from owning animals for five years.
