Motion Picture Act, RSBC 1996, c 314

The Motion Picture Act regulates the classification of films and video games, as well as the licensing of exhibitors.

The Act mandates that the director, before approving a motion picture, remove or require the removal of any part that depicts intolerable animal brutality, or sexual conduct between a human being and an animal.
